Todd Anderson, M.D. Orthopedic Specialist

Bio-Curriculum Vitae

Bio - Todd Anderson, M.D.

As the saying goes, time sure flies by.  After doing the arithmetic, I realize it has been 2 decades since I finished my residency at USC and began my career in Orthopedic Surgery.  Looking back over these years, I can say that the one thing that stands out is experience.  In every situation, I have worked in a practice with a large patient volume and a busy surgical schedule.

My training began with medical school and residency at USC.  The main hospital we worked at was L.A. County/USC Medical Center.  As you can imagine, that was a tremendous experience in surgical training.

After completing the residency, I worked in Simi Valley in private practice.  Our group was very active in the community by providing orthopedic medical care to the athletes of the local high schools and college sports programs.

After five years in private practice, I left Simi Valley to work at Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC).  This gave me the opportunity to teach residents and again, provided a tremendous surgical experience.  I supervised the Sports Medicine Clinic for many years and also preformed a great deal of Total Joint Replacements and Fracture care.  I continued to work at VCMC for seven years.

My next move involved joining a friend from residency at the Sansum Clinic in Santa Barbara.  This again was a very busy practice centered mainly on Sports Medicine, Total Joints, and Trauma.  After five years in Santa Barbara, I realized that I was tiring of a clinic setting, so started looking for greener pastures.

I discovered an opportunity in Ventura in private practice and have opened a private-solo practice centered at Community Memorial Hospital.  After working for so many years in high volume practices, my goal now is to offer a high-end practice centered not on volume, but more on quality of care.  Regardless of insurance, I want to offer every patient adequate time for evaluation and discussion of their orthopedic problems enabling them to make the most informed decision about their medical care.  I have an excellent office staff with state-of-the-art equipment which allows me to offer every patient the very best care and a positive experience.

My personal interests outside of Orthopedic Surgery include; golf, surfing, skiing, racecar driving and trying to keep up with my son.  Through my own busy lifestyle, I can certainly relate to my patient's desires to get back to their own lifestyle as soon as possible.  My goal is to help you achieve that.

If this philosophy sounds like what you have been looking for, please come see us.  My staff and I would love to help you and your family with your orthopedic needs.
